I spent a year taking MBA courses at Santa Clara University (a long time ago...)

We live pretty close to the university now, so we occasionally take a weekend walk through their beautiful campus.

​

They have a new building for their MBA program now, but every time I walk by the building I used to be in, I suffer from PTSD (Post Traumatic School Disorder).

​

I remember sitting in the classroom on warm evenings. There was no air conditioning. The room was hot. The windows were open. And up to 100 students would be out in the common area every night, in shorts, tank tops, and bathing suits - throwing frisbees, laying out, laughing.

​

And I was trying desperately to stay awake. I have always been a good student. I read well. I know how to take tests. The classroom has always been one of my least favorite places to be.

​

So, I spent most of the time drinking coke to stay awake, and... Clock Watching...

​

Later that year, we moved to Vermont and my studies went on hold permanently. Later, I got my Masters in Adult Education virtually - and didn't spend a day in the classroom!

​

So, yeah, whether you're clock watching in school or at work... this one's for you!
